Metal Purlin

We are offering the various types of Metal Purlin for use in the various commercial and industrial applications. The Purlins are an important component in a pre-engineered steel structural kit. These structural supports run perpendicular across the rafter beams. They create the roofing members of the secondary framing of a steel building. Purlins are installed horizontally under metal roofs. They are installed on top of the roof rafters with a felt underlayment or vapor barrier installed on top. They are cropped to the angle of the purlin top cuts and can be lapped for joining. The Metal Purlin is most commonly used in metal buildings, though they sometimes replace closely spaced rafters in wood frame structures. They are very durable.
